SPAACES Unveils its Second Annual All-Inclusive Group Exhibition, The Salon II
SARASOTA, FL SPAACES presents its second annual, all-inclusive group exhibition, The Salon II, a multi-tier, multi-media exhibition that celebrates a mix of outsider and professional art, endorsing equality, inclusivity and affordability in the context of contemporary art. This show is modeled after the great success of last year’s kick-off exhibition titled Le Salon Tout Inclus (The All-Inclusive Exhibit) in 2018, and will be a continued annual, inaugural exhibition.
The Salon II, is curated under the direction of Marianne Chapel, local artist and founder of SPAACES, a visual arts organization dedicated to supporting artists by offering affordable art studios and quality exhibitions.
We welcome and invite all Florida artists to participate in this exhibit regardless of experience, age, professionalism, training, or subject matter.
“The success of last year’s exhibition was a huge surprise,” says Marianne Chapel, founder of SPAACES. “The turnout of participants, both artists and collectors, inspired the creation of an annual installment of this kind. By bringing individual artworks under one roof again, I aim to again, curate a thought-provoking exhibition that presents viewers with a wide range of art styles to consider, without the hierarchical system often associated with professional art galleries. The reactions from viewers last year was so positive, we expect to have an even wider scale of participation this year.”
All works in The Salon II will be priced at $200. The proceeds will be split 50/50 between artists and the arts organization, thus serving as a fundraiser for SPAACES.
