Wednesday, April 15, 2026 | 5:00–10:00 PM | Event is free
Join us at SPAACES for a high-energy, one-night immersive Sarasota art event that doubles as a community fundraiser. This free, all-ages celebration brings together visual art, live music, dance, performance, and nightlife in a bold evening where creativity and generosity meet.
SQUEEZE is a true collaboration presented equally by five partners: Artist Series Concerts, Sarasota Contemporary Dance, SPAACES, Upward Notes, and DJ Karim Manning.
SQUEEZE supports Sarasota’s contemporary arts community during Giving Challenge 2026’s 24-hour fundraising period. All donations up to $100 made to participating local nonprofits will be matched by a generous gift from The Patterson Foundation.
At the center of the evening are two live performances at 5:30 PM and 6:30 PM. Each 30-minute performance features a classical string quartet from Upward Notes and Artist Series Concerts alongside beatbox artist Karim Manning and Sarasota Contemporary Dance. Together, they create a dynamic, interdisciplinary experience inspired by Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, blending sound, movement, and visual art.
Throughout the evening, guests can enjoy light refreshments and opportunities to support participating organizations through the Giving Challenge. The night concludes with a dance party led by Karim Manning as DJ.
The event unfolds within the exhibition Object/Subject: The Body, Space, and Acts of Transformation (March 28 to May 16, 2026), which provides a conceptual backdrop that deepens the performances and installations.
Squeeze is held at SPAACES, 2051 Princeton Street, Sarasota, Florida 34237
